Verifying your product data

The verification process was introduced to give distributors confidence that the information they are viewing is current. Once an item is verified, this status syncs directly to Promodata for distributors to access.

TIP! ~ You can read an article on the original process here >>>

With the launch of the Supplier Portal, the verification process has become even more streamlined:

Note for API Suppliers:
If you provide your data via API, you don’t need to worry about the manual verification process. Your range is automatically verified whenever your data updates, ensuring your information stays current without any extra steps

Individual Product Verification

Whenever product information or pricing is updated and saved within the Portal, the item is automatically marked as current and Verified. You can check the verification status of any individual item on the Main Catalogue Summary screen.

Supplier (Full Range) Verification

In line with our original process, we ask suppliers to verify the accuracy of their entire range at least once a quarter—even if you have been updating items individually. This confirms that your full catalogue is 100% up to date and maintains your verified status in the API feed.

You can now complete this via the Supplier Portal at the top of the Main Catalogue Summary screen.

When you click Verify Products, you’ll be asked to confirm that all details—including pricing and discontinued lines—are correct before proceeding.

Please Note:
Selecting “Verify products” does not change the “Last Updated” date of individual items. This allows you to maintain an accurate record of when each product was last edited.
