Supplier Identification

To make it easy to see exactly which vendor sells a particular item, you can identify the supplier straight from the product code (SKU).

The SKU format is the item code, followed by an underscore, and then the supplier ID#
for example: [Item Code]_[Supplier ID#]

The plugin automatically adds the supplier ID# as a suffix to the product code, giving you quick recognition whether you’re looking at items on your website or reviewing a quote request. To get a full list, you can download a CSV file of all suppliers and their matching ID numbers right from the plugin admin page.

Just a heads-up: This CSV download will only populate with data once a valid Promodata token is authenticated.

The supplier’s name is also imported alongside the product data and is visible on the Products page in your website admin. If you can’t see the supplier column there, you can easily turn it on by clicking the gear icon in the top corner of your screen to update your column settings.
