Editing items fed by Promodata

⚠️ IMPORTANT:
Whilst changing product data is possible, these elements are directly connected to Promodata. Unless an element is on the exceptions list below, please do not change any data for imported products.

Please note: Promodata cannot be held responsible for website sync errors or disruptions caused by manual changes to this data.

Any manual tweaks made to the product data will either break its connection with Promodata (meaning it can’t be updated automatically anymore), or your changes will simply be overwritten during the next nightly sync.

This applies to things like:

• Changing the item code/SKU
• Changing the item name, description, colours, etc.
• Reassigning the product category (which will also result in duplicate product entries)

The only exceptions are:

• Globally editing the actual Category names—you can read more about how to do that [here].
• Adding details to a product’s Short Description field, which is not managed by Promodata.
