Images and Colours
Product images are managed across two tabs in the portal, each serving a specific purpose:
- Images: Use this tab for your hero shots, lifestyle imagery, group photos, and specific product features.
- Colours: This is where you identify the individual product colours and can then link them to their corresponding image. Matching the image to the colour name can really level up the product presentation on distributor websites.
(Associating the corresponding image to the colour name is optional – but is recommended as best practice)
Regardless of which tab you use, all images will be included in the final product feed. This means you don’t need to double-up by loading colour-specific images into the main Images tab as well.
IMPORTANT: If the system finds the same image in both tabs, it’ll automatically tidy things up by removing the duplicate from the main tab. This keeps your feed clean and avoids any confusion for distributors. (This is not an error)
Hero Image
The Hero Image is the primary shot displayed in the main preview window (just above the upload box). By default, the system uses the very first image at the top of your list.

Sorting images

You can easily change the order of your images using the “hamburger” grab handle on the left of each listing. Just click and drag an image up or down to create your preferred sequence.
Colours – Image Swatches
As the saying goes, a picture paints a thousand words. Associating images with your colour options makes perfect sense; it’s considered best practice and significantly enhances the user experience when browsing your range.
If you only provide colour information as basic text, that is all that will appear in the product listing:

Elevating your listing
However, taking the time to enhance your listings with specific colour images creates a much more engaging experience for your customers:

Note to API-Connected Suppliers
This functionality is also available via your API. If these details aren’t already included in your data, please provide instructions on where to locate the image assets. We will then handle the integration into your feed.
