Main Screen
The Main Catalogue Summary screen is your home base in the portal. When you interact with a product, it’ll open in a modal window (pop-up) right over the top, so you never lose your place.
On the left, you’ll find the Main Menu. This is where your Supplier ID is located, along with other handy links.
Product Stats & Filters
This section gives you a quick snapshot of your catalogue, with hyperlinks to filter what you see in the product listing:
- All Products: Shows every item in your database, whether active or not.
- Discontinued: Displays items removed from your range or deactivated in your feed. These items will appear shaded grey on the main screen.
For Non-API suppliers, this is controlled by the Active setting in the product listing. (API suppliers will control this via their feed)
Just so you know, Promodata doesn’t actually delete items from the database. We keep them on record so distributors can still see details for things like repeat orders or matching old stock. It’s basically a digital archive that ensures your product history stays intact!
Sort and Search
At the top of the screen, you’ll find a few extra tools to help you pinpoint exactly what you need:
- Search: Quickly target specific items by product code, name, or keywords.
- Download CSV: Read more here (Great for bulk updates!)
- Column Sorting: Simply click any column heading to sort your data. This works in tandem with the search box, so you can filter first and then sort the results.
